Lou directed and produced a short film shot at the Musee d'Art Modern Paris, featuring the works of the great American abstract painter Mark Rothko. His film script Little Wing, co - written with David Rokov, was short listed for the Film Four / Orange short film competition. "Touched," Lou's first short film, premiered at the Leeds International Film Festival, was shown at the Metro Cinema in London, as part of the Raindance Film Festival, and was also screened at the Chichester Film Festival.
Lous early career as an actor, director and musician, involved extensive work in England, Europe and America, for companies such as Bristol Old Vic, Sheffield Crucible, Derby Playhouse, London Bubble and the New Vic. Additionally, for two years he was the Artistic Director of Platypus Theatre Company.
In New York he worked for three seasons as a teaching artist for the Obie Award winning company, Theatre for a New Audience, teaching and directing Shakespeare in Harlem and the Bronx.
Film and Television experience includes work for the BBC, and in Hollywood for Sony, Fox, Disney and Paramount Pictures.
