Lou Sexty studied as an undergraduate at Dartington College of Arts and holds an MA from Middlesex University. He also holds a second MA in film, from The Northern School of Film and Television (Leeds University).

Recent exhibitions include: the Woolff Gallery, Kings Road Gallery, Kingly Court, Fresh Art, the Affordable Art Fair, Manchester Art Show and Cumberland Ellis Peirs.

His work has featured prominently on television, notably in the BAFTA winning Channel 4 programme “Faking It”. Other programmes include: “Chained” also on C4, “East End Arts” on Artsworld and on LWT's “Dinner Dates”. Most recently he has been asked to give a talk on creativity at London’s Institute of Contemporary Art.

Over the past twelve years Lou’s work has metamorphosed from being predominantly performance orientated, to being visually based, concentrating especially on painting and film directing.
